Wonderful oasis along the Great Eastern Drive.
We loved everything about our stay here! Couldn't recommend a place more for a quiet and quaint stop on our journey (and perfectly situated for a stop at Maria Island). Beyond location, our lovely hosts really thought of everything to make you feel comfortable and welcome -- a welcome tea and fudge, robes, beautiful botanical smelling toiletries, a comfy bed, homemade jams, and so much more -- not to mention being so accommodating of our dietary restrictions (their breakfast was fantastic and so yummy). This is the only place worth staying in and around Orford in our books!

Amazing B&B
We stayed for 2 nights at Sanda House - just before the coronavirus situation went mad. We chose it for its proximity to the Maria Island ferry. From the moment that we drove up and saw the beautiful stone cottage surrounded by a very pretty and well tended garden we knew the stay was going to be great, and we weren't disappointed. We received a warm welcome from hosts Kerry and Greg and were shown the communal dining and loungeroom and offered afternoon tea. Our room, which looked out onto the rear garden was beautiful - from the fantastic bedlinen to the bijou ensuite. Lots of little touches made this place extra special. Breakfast was amazing: fresh fruit juice, homemade coulis to accompany the yogurt, fresh fruit salad and cereals. The bread was homemade and there were homemade jams to accompany it. The cooked breakfasts were delicious and so well presented. Everything was fresh and much of the produce was from the cottage's garden and/or their chickens. The standard and presentation of the food was well up to that of a 5 star restaurant. Unfortunately with the current travel bans we won't be able to return to Sanda House for awhile, and we sincerely hope that Kerry and Greg are able to survive this terrible time.We will be back sometime!
